How long have you been in business?
We opened in 2007.
What is your primary product or service?
Bed and Breakfast. We offer a respite from the world for long distance travelers as well as neighbors from down the street. In addition to offering lodging, we provide English Afternoon tea for an additional charge.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We restored this Victorian home and once the restoration was complete it had to have a job, so we opened a Bed and Breakfast. We own the Tea Room that is a part of the B&B now. It originally started in an 1879 Victorian, but we have combined to make it easier. We have also had a Wedding Chapel so hospitality has always been in the forefront of our careers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our Bed and Breakfast is located within walking distance of the historic little town of Columbiana. It has such a different feel, almost as if you are in Mayberry. Our little town offers music in several venues, even on the street. Museums, restaurants, Shelby County Arts Council events, shops, etc.

We have one Bed and Breakfast with a Tea Room that serves English Afternoon Tea. We currently have two downtown building we have restored for retail/dining and are also looking to expand the Bed and Breakfast to offer different types of rooms.
